With a consistency similar to paint, Gamblin's Solvent-Free Gel is a favorite of artists that paint outside, travel by air, or want to work without odour or solvent. Our palest gel medium, Solvent-Free Gel dries to a bright, glossy finish. This gel gives colours more flow, transparency, and holds the shape of your brushmarks. Solvent-Free Gel has a moderate dry time rate of 3-4 days on average when used in moderation. While it increases gloss, it is not a varnish. It is suggested to only use a maximum of 25% Solvent-Free Gel in mixture with your oil colours - a little goes a long way. Using too much Solvent-Free Gel can cause extended dry time rates, wrinkling, and excess yellowing in your paint layers.
Made from safflower oil and alkyd resin and does not contain Gamsol.
